In January 2011 a new law called The Digital Economy Act/Bill was passed by the government who was under pressure by movie producers and associated parties to clamp down on illegal sharing of their blockbusters (includes not so great movies also!).
The impact of this was filtered down to all businesses that offer WiFi or broadband access as to the general public. In fact it applies to employees and family but obviously these are known people. Suffice to say the need to provide controlled Internet access went up a few levels.
This section has a deliberately minimal feel, as Freedom Hotspot strongly believes this represents an opportunity to provide better WiFi services to customers or end users. Whether the service is offered for a charge or indeed free, the technology is the same. In addition to award winning content filtering, our core backend Hotspot network based in the Cloud has been developed to deliver flexible and adaptable services that benefit our clients in every sector.
